The song you all are hearing now is one of the GREATEST song that I have ever hear!!

This song is taken from the movie "The Gladiator" which was first shown in the cinema in the year 2000. This movie tells of a person named Maximus Decimus Meridius - who lives during the Famous Rome Empire era - that first is a Farmer that lives far away from other people. After being a Farmer, he became a Soldier that represents Rome. The his rank become a General after leading numerous battlefronts which he never lost.

During his last victory battle for Rome, his plans were to proceed home to his Wife and Son but the Emperor, Commodus, of the then Empire of Rome want him to stay at Rome because Commodus wants Maximus to take up his throne as the Emperor of Rome despite having a son, Marcus Aurelius, whom suppose to be the next King of Rome. The king then told his son that he would give the throne to Maximus instead of him. Upon hearing that, Marcus killed his own father just for the throne.

Marcus Aurelius then told his Royal Guards to capture and kill Maximus. Eventhough that Maximus was captured by the very man that once work with Maximus on the battlefield, Maximus fled after killing the people that were told to slay him.

Maximus went back home just to find that his family were badly burnt and crucified. His Wife and only son were hanged by the neck on the tree on the entrance to his own home. All he could do is look at them and cried his heart out. He then lay there helplessly until he eventually fell asleep.

He was later picked up by some slave gatherer whom then sells off captured people as slaves. Maximus was then sold to a famous person that makes this slaves as Gladiators. He fought in all the fights that involves him killing everyone that he's suppose to fight with. He won all fights that led him to the very place that people were called in to kill him. That place is Rome. There he seek revenge. He made some allies and tried to find the best way so he could kill the very person that order men to kill his beloved wife and son. After quite some time, he finally got a chance to square things up and eventually kill Marcus Aurelius, the self-proclaim Emperor of Rome.

This story have a sad ending as Maximus too died due to the poisonous sting that Marcus Aurelius stab on Maximus before the duel between them were being called in.

Maximus, whom many people in Rome have regard him as the legal Emperor, told the Sister of Marcus Aurelius that Rome is to be given to the people in Rome as there was once a dream from Commodus that Rome is to be Republic once more. He too ask the sister of Marcus Aurelius to free the men that were captured and became slaves.

This song is about Slaves - that were held captive and were made to fight for entertainment sake and they were like living at the edge of a sword where they could be killed anytime during a fight - being freed

It's a movie that one should watch. I would rate this movie 6 out of the possible 5.

HEY! IM BACK!




Well, its been quite some time since I've last updated my blog. Let me continue me blogging journey once again!


Today was a long day! School suppose to start at 9am but the first lesson was the Self-Study lesson so there's no need to attend that "lesson". So we only attend the next lesson that starts at 10am. The first lesson was quite nice cOz its Computing Mathematics! haha! It might sounds boring but maths was one of my stronger subject during my Secondary School days. After the 2 hours of Computing Mathematics, it was my break. The break due for 1 hour before the next lesson starts. The next lesson was one of the most boring but important lesson because the nexy lesson was the Database Fundamentals. The lecturer was a funny one. Not because of the way he bring himself but the way he pronounce some words. The way he says "Hewlett-Packard" and "Tutorial" was the funniest. It really makes me and my friends laugh as though the lecturer wasn't there. After that lesson was another break due to the "Self-Study" lesson again. After that so-called "break", another lesson starts. Now is the Object-Oriented Programming Project. The sound of the module seem interesting but the module itself was kinda boring at some parts of the lesson. After that lesson is another lesson that shares roughly the same name of the previous module but this time the name of the module is Object-Oriented Programming. For this module, the lecturer is the one that made me hate the module the most. I dun wanna elaborate about what happen in the tutorial room but if u insist on knowing what happen, ask me personally and I might tell you the whole story. Finally, school ended at 6pm.

I went to an outing on 8/10/07 which is on Monday.

It was a great outing with some of my friends. It was organized by one of them. It’s been quite some time since I last went out with them. The outing started with us meeting at Paya Lebar MRT Station.

When I reached there Ramlan, Suhaini and Jamal was there already. We actually wanted to wait for Hidayah and Khairul but they said to wait for them at the place where we are going to break our fast at. So we went straight to the eating place at Joo Chiat Eating Place. As we were walking towards the eating place, we talked non-stop. It was great catching up with stuffs. When we reached our destination, we find a place for us to sit so we can eat when the time comes. As we wait for the “Azan” to be summoned, we kept talking while waiting for Hidayah and Khairul. Then we went off to order our food. By the time we went to order our food, Hidayah and Khairul came. So they had to place their order separately. Then Suhaini, Ramlan and I kinda order the same food to eat. It was Beef Fried Rice. It was NICE! Actually, Ramlan and I wanted to order a Claypot Beef but it does not come with rice so we just order Beef Fried Rice then. Haha! And Jamal ordered Chicken Fried Rice. We also ordered some side dishes. We ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken and Fish. There was one dish that came to our table and we didn’t order that dish. It was a fish ball soup with some veggies in it. We tried calling the person to say that we didn’t ordered that bowl of fish ball soup but we realize that every table that ordered from that stall got this same bowl of fish ball soup. So we basically just kept quiet and continue waiting for the other dishes to come. After the “Azan” was being called, we ate up all the food that's laid on the table.

After the meal, we went walking around Geylang. Actually, I wanted to buy a “Songkok” but there was none that caught my eye. After the walk around Geylang, we decided to go to Esplanade to sit and talk again. Before that, we bought some drinks from Starbucks. Suhaini & I bought an Ice Blended Chocolate drink. Ramlan bought an Ice Blended Green Tea drink and Jamal bought a Mocha drink.

We went to Marina Square to look at some shirts and pants and some accessories too. After a walk around Marina Square we went to Esplanade looking for Hidayah and Khairul because they went there by Khairul’s bike. Upon finding them, we find a place to settle down and did some catching up. We talked almost about everything. The catching up we did was a great one as it has been quite some time that I had not went out with them.

After the catching up that we did, we went off. Hidayah & Khairul went home straight on Khairul’s bike. Ramlan, Suhaini, Jamal and I went to the Raffles MRT Station. Before that we went to McDonald’s to buy some drinks and burgers! Haha! We ate the McDonald’s itself then went off to Raffles MRT after finishing up our food and drinks.

Yesterday, I went to meet Afiq because he says that he wanna go out to study and asked me to teach him in whatever way I could. Afiq came to Jurong to do the studying that he wanted. He says that he want to study at McDonald @ Science Center. We did some studying but we left the McDonald after some time. Then we went to walk around and finally decided that entering the Science Center would be kinda fun. So we bought our ticket and went to walk around in the Science Center. It was kinda fun expriencing how SCIENCE works. We sat and try on this Electric Chair which is located somewhere in the Center. It was ELECTRIFYING!! No electricity was given though but a handle that we was suppose to hold on is the one that vibrates. It vibrates so hard and we felt as though electricity was passing through our hand to our body. If we hold onto the handle harder, the handle would vibrate even harder until the time we had on the chair ends. SERIOUSLY, ONE SHOULD TRY ON THIS ELECTRIC CHAIR!! IT'S THRILLING AND CHALLENGING. The Singapore Science Center is a GREAT place but it would be even GREATER if more friends are there.

BACK TO BLOGGING!!

I went to Kuala Lumpur (KL) on Monday and I came back to Singapore on Wednesday. I went there is because I went to visit my Grandmother that is sick @ my aunty's home. When I reach there, she was weak and she can't even sit on her own anymore. We need to help her to sit. She needs to be supported on order to walk around. Her right leg is the one that made her difficult to walk about. It was kinda sad but I guess that everyone will go through this one day when one gets old. For the past few days there, I just stayed in the house. My cousins are not there, except for my niece, as they are staying at the hostel at their respective schools. So the house are basically quiet and empty. Only my aunty, uncle, niece and my grandmother is in the house.

When Wednesday came, we had to leave for Singapore. We took a bus from my aunty's house to this place called Jalan Masjid India which means Indian Mosque Road. We went there to buy our clothes for Hari Raya which is gonna be held on next Saturday, 13th October. Can't wait for it!! HEHEHE!! After shopping, we went home by bus which sends passengers to Larkin, Johor Bahru. From Larkin, we took bus 170 that sends passengers back to Singapore.

At 6.52pm, it's HOME SWEET HOME!!
